Snow, gales, wind chill and minus temperatures.  Nothing was to stop Maria Blythe from marshalling the Panshanger Parkrun and the amazing Andrea Halliwell who ran it and ran it well!  Great time of 27:48.  Hope you ladies have thawed out and that the conditions are better for your next run. Congratulations!

The timed runs for the weekend are here for you all to oggle at.  A few PB’s to note too!

Well done to those that go out week after week, as the results prove that it is paying off.  6 representations at Panshanger Park and one in Brighton.

Those that did not get a PB, came so so close.  Great effort.

Well done to Angela Spicer for her Panshanger Parkrun PB of 25:24 and for Maria Blythe (new nickname is Duracell) who ran the Hove Parkrun on Saturday with a PB of 27:39 and the Brighton 10K on Sunday with another PB of 54:53.  Wow!

If you are in ore of this, then you need to get yourself onto a Parkrun.  Regular runs, build up good rhythm and times, de-stress, stay healthy, make new friends and fit into that dress for Xmas.

Results W/E 01/11/2015

Parkrun Panshanger had 280 runners this week and St Albans had a massive 401 runners.  The Oh ladies were represented at Panshanger Park with all 5 ladies breaking the 30 minute barrier.  That is a mean feat!  A huge well done to Louise Sopp who’s tenacity has paid off, not only breaking the 30 minute mark, but also bringing in a PB of 29:01.    August Spice is catching her mum up too with a PB of 28:55.  Just Awesome!

Please remember to let me know if you have run in an event and I will add you to the spreadsheet and website results page.

Wear it Pink – Thank you ladies for showing your support

For the month of October, our Sunday club runs were turned pink.  Pink tutus and attire were seen on Sunday morning at Hatfield House gates, WGC town centre, Stanborough, Essendon and even the Luton Half Marathon.  We got noticed, there were high 5’s, toots, conversations and smiles from strangers and therefore we raised awareness.

Remembering the ones that lost their battle, those that have won their battle and those still fighting the fight.  Please check yourselves regularly.

We stand strong and we support each other, the OH way.

Thank you for wearing Pink.Oct 2015 003

Breast Cancer Awareness Month – Showing our Support

Supporting the Fight Against Breast Cancer

Supporting the Fight Against Breast Cancer

The Oh Ladies are showing their Support for the Fight Against Breast Cancer.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, a worldwide annual campaign involving thousands of organisations, to highlight the importance of breast awareness, education and research and to show our support, we have dedicated our Sunday club runs to run in PINK. When we say pink, we also mean pink tutus.

Breast Cancer affects both women and men.   Please check yourself regularly and talk to doctors or friends if you have any concerns.  Lets support each other the Oh way.
