Melisa Mileham definitely has the bit between her teeth. Again she ventured out in the rain and again she brought in a new PB by 6 seconds. Her new PB record for 5K is now 24:59 and catching up Kim Brewers and Donna O’Toole’s 5K records.

Our Club was represented in two categories. In both categories, we were astounded to have won awards.

The annual Herts Service to Sport Awards evening is the key event in the Herts Sports Partnership calendar that acknowledges and celebrates the massive contribution that volunteers, education and clubs make to Hertfordshire sport.
Female Community Coach of the Year was well contested and our very own Carrie Hudson, not only received a nomination, but she was called to the stage to receive her 2nd Place Award.
Congratulations Carrie Hudson, well deserved. Award presentation photograph will be displayed later.
14 Oh runners and family, took to Stanborough Lakes in full Santa costume. Their children either wore junior Santa suits or reindeer antlers. Sarah Bailey chose to wear other attire (Super Santa – Junior Santa bottoms, pink top and a super girl red cape) until such time she arrived at the lakes to collect her proper costume. A good turn out, with nearly 100 Santa runners, thankfully the weather was kind to us.
This is an annual event, organised by the Rotary Club, with all entrance money going towards local charities.
The event was so much fun, even attracting attention on the way there and on the way back. Such a giggle and lifted our spirits. Well done to those who attended and lets round up more numbers for next year!

The Oh Ladies had 2 representatives who brought in some amazing times. It was gale force winds and on reflection, I think the times were assisted!
Melissa Mileham managed a superb PB of 25:08, beating her previous PB by 5 seconds. Maria Blythe (Duracell) has now run her 53rd Parkrun and brought in a fantastic time of 28:25.
Well done Ladies for getting out there and braving that awful weather.
