Its news time!  There has been so much going on and even more coming up that there is too much information for just 1 email this month – so there will be 2!
The most time critical info and will be here, with more long term information still to come.  I know, right?  You will be like on the edge of your seat, on tender hooks bursting with excitement! I won’t keep you too long, promise!  Lets get started!
So, you may have noticed its marathon time!  Congratulations to Dawn Andrews who has completed her first marathon of the year at a very sunny Brighton!  Still to come we have our London runners this Sunday and our Moonwalk Walkers on May 14th.  The celebration event for all our marathoners is on July 8th in St Albans. All members are invited to join in one of the best celebrations of the year, you don’t have to have done a marathon, you just need to want to celebrate one! Save the date, get ready to go Greek there will be more details to follow.  And of course we wish all our marathoners the very best of love and luck for their event.
LONDON MARATHON SUPPORTERS – If you would like to join the Oh! cheer squad this Sunday in London we will be positioning ourselves around the 10 mile point in Bermondsey and setting up a cheer station.  Again all are welcome to join in, we will be meeting at Hatfield Station at 9:15 and catching the 9:25 train to Kings Cross. Bring jelly babies, motivational signs and plenty of energy for clapping and whooping!  Keep an eye on facebook for more information and pray for lovely weather.
We are hosting Ben from the 401 Challenge on April 29th in his marathon around our local area.  More details to follow but if you can spare a few miles to run with Ben between 10 am (starting at Countess Anne School, Hatfield) and 3 pm, including lunch at Mill Green Golf Club he would really appreciate the support.  Ben is becoming a bit of a national celebrity and will also be running in London on Sunday.  If you are watching the marathon on TV, you may well see a news report about Ben.  Thanks to Donna O’Toole for the route and Sarah Badger for organising the visit.
SUNDAY BREAKFAST CLUB – also known as a track session will be kicking off this season on May 8th at Gosling.  Save the date for a change to the usual Sunday run with a track session suitable for all, followed by… you guessed it… breakfast!  This is a free exclusive session for Oh! Ladies and will add variety for your training as well as a good laugh in a great group environment. We will have use of the track for 1 hour – further info to follow.
